When painting the Alpine flowers by hand, every leaf is dabbed twice – first yellow, then green. During firing, the two colours then blend together to create a wonderful interplay and bring the flowers to life, as if kissed by sunshine. Every flower has its own name. The red ‚Gretel‘, also known as lungwort, the blue campanula, the yellow marsh marigold or the yellow cowslip with its two flowers. The image is immediately reminiscent of a colourful bouquet of meadow flowers.
