SHINING CROCKERY FOR A LIFETIME

DISHWASHER
Wash at a maximum of 50°C. This is gentle on the material.
Use washing powder instead of tabs. Powder is easier to dose.
To achieve the perfect result, let the steam escape from the dishwasher and allow the crockery to cool slowly. In this way, Gmundner ceramics are not exposed to rapid temperature changes and there is no risk of stress or chipping. It also prevents limescale stains.
Regularly straighten bent wires in the dishwasher basket. This prevents your crockery from knocking against each other.
MICROWAVE/OVEN
You can use Gmundner ceramics in the microwave or oven at any time.
Only use completely dry crockery in your microwave after the wash cycle, otherwise it may heat up too much due to residual moisture.
Do not place warm/hot crockery on cold surfaces, as this can lead to stresses and cracks in the ceramic.

CUTLERY ABRASION
Cutlery abrasion (cutting marks) is the mechanical abrasion of metal on the glass surface of the ceramic/porcelain.
Influences such as limescale, salts, temperature in the dishwasher and also a high chrome content in the cutlery can intensify the effect.
Cutlery residues are not a sign of poor quality.
We recommend that you remove these grey lines with Gmundner Keramik crockery cleaner as soon as they appear.
