TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE GMUNDNER COMPETITION
§ 1 Organisation and Administration of the Prize Draw
Gmundner Keramik Handels GmbH, Keramikstraße 24, 4810 Gmunden, Tel.: +43 (0) 7612 786-0, Email: office@gmundner.at, hereinafter referred to as ‘Gmundner Keramik’, is organising this competition and is responsible for its organisation, administration and the provision of prizes.
Participation is free of charge, voluntary and involves no obligation to purchase.
Winners will be selected at random; the draw and notification of winners will be carried out by Gmundner Keramik behind closed doors.
By entering the competition, the participant agrees to all the terms and conditions.
The competition runs from 01/07/2026 at 00:01 to 15/09/2026 at 23:59. Entries received before or after this period are not valid.
To enter the competition, you must register via our competition lottery using one of the registration methods provided. Once you have successfully registered, you can complete various tasks to earn points. Each successfully completed task increases your points balance and improves your chances of winning. Participants also have the opportunity to mulitply their chances of winning by uploading a recent invoice from Gmundner Keramik (online shop or physical store, dated 1 June 2026 or later) in JPG, JPEG or PDF format. Uploading a receipt is voluntary and not a requirement for taking part in the prize draw.
The winners will be notified personally and may subsequently be featured – with a photograph, if agreed – via various media. No further correspondence will be entered into regarding the prize draw.
Entry is only possible via the method described above.
The winners will be selected at random by 30 September 2026. Winners will be notified in writing by 30 September 2026. To claim their prize, winners must respond within 14 days of being notified of their win. If no response is received within this timeframe, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to another entrant.
All prizes can be redeemed by 31 December 2027.
The winner of the stay at the Gmundner Lodge, including a flight (flight route: Europe–Windhoek) agrees that photographs and content created during the stay or during the prize presentation may be used and published by Gmundner Keramik and the Gmundner Lodge for marketing purposes (in particular on official social media channels such as Instagram, Facebook or the website) for marketing purposes.
The winner undertakes to
take up to five (5) photographs during the stay and make these available to Gmundner Keramik and the Gmundner Lodge for use on their social media channels (feed and story), and
to publish a short post (e.g. in the form of an Instagram Story or a similar post) about the stay on their own social media channels, tagging or linking to Gmundner Keramik and the Gmundner Lodge.
By submitting content (e.g. photo, video, text), you agree that Gmundner Keramik and Gmundner Lodge may use your name, image, voice, likeness, statements about the campaign and biographical information worldwide, for an unlimited period and across all media, without further remuneration, insofar as permitted by law. You confirm that your submission is an original work and does not infringe the rights of any third party.
§ 2 Prizes
The prizes are:
1 all-inclusive stay for 2 people at the 5-star Gmundner Lodge hotel in Namibia (5 nights), including transfer from the airport to the lodge and a flight with Edelweiss to Windhoek, worth €9,100
The flight will depart from the airport nearest to the winner’s home address, from which Edelweiss offers direct flights to Windhoek at the time of booking.
The prize includes transfers between Windhoek Airport and the Gmundner Lodge in Namibia. The prize does not include travel to the departure airport or the journey home from the arrival airport to the winner’s home address, nor any other travel costs (valid passport, visa, insurance, etc.). These costs are to be borne by the winner.FLIGHT BOOKING:
The winner will receive a voucher from Edelweiss to book the flight. The winner must book the flight independently and exclusively via the official Edelweiss website (www.flyedelweiss.com/ch/de/home).
The flight will be in Economy Class.
Gmundner Keramik is not the organiser of the flight and accepts no liability for booking errors, flight changes, flight cancellations, delays or any other services provided by Edelweiss.
Any additional services, in particular seat reservations, checked-in luggage, special luggage, in-flight meals and online check-in, must be organised by the winner themselves and, where applicable, paid for by them, unless these are expressly included in the flight ticket. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or other benefits in kind.
HOTEL BOOKING:
The winner of the lodge stay will receive a personal booking code. To redeem the prize, the winner must contact the Gmundner Lodge personally by email. The booking code received must be provided when making contact. The booking can only be made by quoting this code.
The actual value of the prize may differ from the stated value.

*The voucher can be redeemed for the purchase of tableware and related household goods from the Gmundner Keramik range. Redeemable exclusively in the Gmundner Keramik online shop (www.gmundner.com) and in Gmundner Keramik shops. The Gmundner Keramik voucher is valid for the entire range. The voucher can be redeemed in several instalments. Any remaining balance will be retained until the expiry date (31 December 2027). The voucher value cannot be paid out in cash. It is not transferable to third parties.
**The Salzkammergut Keramik voucher can be redeemed for the purchase of tableware and related household goods from the Salzkammergut Keramik range. It can only be redeemed in the Gmundner Keramik online shop (www.gmundner.com) and in Gmundner Keramik shops. The voucher is valid for the entire Salzkammergut Keramik range. The voucher can be redeemed in several instalments. Any remaining balance will be retained until the expiry date (31 December 2027). The voucher value cannot be paid out in cash. Not transferable to third parties. Legal recourse is excluded. The prize is non-transferable and can only be redeemed within the specified period. The provider reserves the right to make changes to the scope of the service.
Only one of the 13 prizes will be drawn per person. Neither cash payments nor substitute prizes are permitted. The prizes are non-transferable. Any form of transfer, assignment or cash payment of the prize is excluded. Acceptance of the prize constitutes the winner’s consent to the sponsor using their name, image, entry and details for advertising and marketing purposes without additional remuneration, insofar as permitted by law.
§ 3 Participants
All natural persons aged 18 or over who are resident in Austria, Germany or Switzerland are eligible to
enter. Employees of Gmundner Keramik Handels GmbH, persons involved in the organisation of the competition, and their relatives are not eligible to enter.
To take part in the competition, it is essential that all personal details provided are true. Failure to do so may result in exclusion in accordance with § 4.
§ 4 Exclusion from the competition
Gmundner Keramik reserves the right to exclude from the competition any participants who breach the terms and conditions of entry or who attempt to influence the competition in any way through technical manipulation. In the event of exclusion from the competition, Gmundner Keramik is free to revoke and reclaim the prizes even retrospectively.
Should a winner fail to receive their prize, they must notify Gmundner Keramik of this within 4 weeks of being notified of their win. If the winner does not notify Gmundner Keramik within this period, they shall no longer be entitled to the prize.
Should the winner, for reasons attributable to them, be unreachable by post, telephone or email and be unable to claim their prize, the entitlement to the prize shall automatically lapse 14 days after the first attempt to notify them. Any taxes and duties are to be borne by the winner.
Incomplete entries or entries that do not comply with the guidelines may be disqualified. All requested information must be provided. Multiple entries using different email addresses, identities or devices to circumvent the rules are not permitted. Attempts at fraud or manipulation will result in disqualification.
§ 5 Early termination of the competition
Gmundner Keramik reserves the right to cancel or terminate the competition at any time without prior notice and without giving reasons. Gmundner Keramik will make use of this option in particular if, for technical reasons (e.g. viruses in the computer system, tampering or faults in the hardware and/or software) or for legal reasons, the proper conduct of the competition cannot be guaranteed. If such termination is caused by the conduct of a participant, Gmundner Keramik may claim compensation from that person for the damage incurred.
§ 6 Legal remedies
The winners will be selected behind closed doors and notified personally; they may subsequently be publicised via various media, including – subject to agreement – with a photograph. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the competition.
Data Protection Provisions:
The collection of data in connection with the Gmundner Keramik competition is governed by the following provisions.
The user registration required for participation, together with the details provided – name, address, town, date of birth and email address – will be stored in a dedicated database maintained by Gmundner Keramik. The details are to be entered into the relevant fields on the form.
Participants consent to the use and storage of their data solely for the purposes of this competition and for Gmundner Keramik’s marketing and advertising activities.
The winners’ names may be published on www.gmundner.com, www.facebook.com/gmundner.keramik.manufaktur and www.instagram.com/gmundner.keramik/.
The data submitted by entrants will be passed on to third parties involved in the event of publication in connection with the competition (reporting on the event, prize-giving ceremony, etc.). The entrant hereby expressly agrees to this.
Participants are free at any time to withdraw their consent to the storage of their contact details by sending a request to office@gmundner.at, thereby withdrawing from the competition.
Liability for slight negligence is also excluded insofar as it relates to damage caused which does not constitute personal injury and does not result from a breach of a principal contractual obligation.
§ 7 Liability

§ 8 Final Provisions
Austrian law shall apply, to the exclusion of the conflict-of-laws provisions of private international law and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If the participant is a consumer with their habitual residence in a country other than Austria, the protection afforded by those mandatory provisions of the law of that country, from which it is not permitted to derogate by agreement to the detriment of the consumer, remains unaffected.
The place of jurisdiction is Vienna. Austrian law applies.
The competition is not affiliated with Facebook, X, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Reddit, Pinterest, LinkedIn or any other social media platforms. You are providing your data to the competition organiser, not to the aforementioned platforms.
By taking part, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted the official rules, terms and conditions.
